Speakers:
Scott Thompson – Founder, BioMark
BioMark works with developers across Yorkshire and the North of England to deliver BNG solutions that balance ecological impact and development value. Scott will share insights into how off-site units can be leveraged for both compliance and long-term habitat restoration.
Mark Cunliffe-Lister – Proprietor, Swinton Estate
Over the last five years Swinton has been working on delivering several offsite BNG areas. Mark will highlight the process we have undertaken and give an update as to where Swinton currently stands; as the first North Yorkshire Habitat bank to have been granted a Section106 for from the LPA.
David Myers – Director, Squire Patton Boggs
David is the head of Squire’s Planning team and has extensive experience with biodiversity net gain acting for Responsible Bodies, habitat developers, residential developers and conservation charities. David will provide his thoughts on the legal mechanisms associated with BNG and commentary on his experience in the field over the last year.
