Updates From Our County Durham Habitat Bank: Available BNG Units
This week, we had the pleasure of visiting our Fir Tree Farm Habitat Bank in County Durham and were even treated to a rare sunny day! The site currently consists of enclosed farmland, a mix of improved and neutral grassland, a stream, and a small pocket of woodland, all soon to be enhanced through targeted habitat creation. With Tunstall Farm's five distinct parcels, we’ll create species-rich neutral grassland, new native hedgerows, mixed scrub, and broad-leaved woodland, replacing areas of bare ground, modified grassland, cereal crops, and bramble scrub.
