This week, we’re exploring the surprising potential of “poor” soil. While often overlooked, low-quality soils can offer unique advantages for landowners and developers, especially when it comes to biodiversity and natural capital opportunities.

Exciting changes are coming to this site in North Yorkshire, where we’ll be transforming underused land into high-value habitats. With Tunstall Farm's five distinct parcels, we’ll create species-rich neutral grassland, new native hedgerows, mixed scrub, and broad-leaved woodland, replacing areas of bare ground, modified grassland, cereal crops, and bramble scrub.
